Want to save time searching and replacing a string throughout your database? Why don’t use this usefull MySQL Search & Replace Tool to quickly go through thousands of tables and fix them all withouth any trouble? Originally drafted by Mark Jackson on his blog, the script was the revised and published on Launchpad by Eric Amundson, who kindly addes some style and a tiny interface.
Obviously, we tested and used this script before writing this article – and it’s just fine! Just download the .ZIP folder, unzip and upload it on your server, and fill in (correctly!) the form. Press “Replace” and enjoy the results.
This comes out to be really usefull for anyone dealing with a path search and replace with WordPress, a common task when migrating an installation from folder to folder, or to a completly new server. Everything withouth even logging in your PHPMyAdmin…
